Does Campral Help Stop Drinking?

is an FDA-approved drug that has been on the market for about two and a half years.

The exact mechanism of how it works is not really understood. It is thought to help restore  the balance of chemicals in the brain and prevent symptoms that may lead some people to drink (PAWS). Campral should only be considered by people who have actually stopped drinking and are in counseling or paticipating in support groups.
