Remember that when you drink alcohol, so does your baby.

    I think the average person would realize this and stop drinking until after the baby is born. But people who have addictive personalities just have one thing in mind: immediate gratification. So without even consider the impact on the baby, the drink goes into the mouth and down the throat.

    Its sad, but some people just want instant gratification and don't think about the long term effects.
    My parents are foster parents, so I have seen first hand what happens to these poor children when their parents drink, I have seen 3 generations of family suffering with fetal alcohol syndrome.
    I believe its better today than in the past, but more needs to be done to break the cycle.
