I was very wary of this site when I first saw the name… I am glad I checked it out though. This site has some wonderful content, in fact a ton of it on many areas of addiction recovery. The content is reputable and professional and is not focused in glamming things up or sex. It is very much worth a visit.

How many times have I actually unabashedly plugged a site? Once. 'Nuf said.

Thier unique take on recovery quoted from thier "About" page is…

"Principles underlying Recovery Is Sexy. Its quite simple really. The strongest desire that animals and people have is to be socially and sexually attractive to other people, most commonly the opposite gender. People are attracted to sexy people. But most, no all, addictive practices eventually make the person ugly, unattractive, unsexy." That might be their angle but there is so much more.

The site is well indexed, with a ton of categories and content. I wish there were a few more pictures here and there to keep it interesting. I also did not get a point of view, the content is pulled from many sources and is very good, but I did not see personalization. I could not find a person behind it or who is sponsoring it on the page. Hey those are minor quibbles, and with the quality of info there, hardly worth mentioning. Go ahead and Click: Recovery Is Sexy

Thank you for the link. The site does seem to be FULL of relevant information. I agree that the design is a bit boring.

Perhaps the creator has reasons for remaining anonymous. I think his/her purpose might be better served to put some sort of human contact with the wealth of information though.

To make people understand that there is someone behind it who understands what they are struggling with.

Yeah, a name like that would make me twitch, but it's a really good site, I'll be passing the link around a little.

The site is kinda bland, but simplicity is a good thing in the days of 239kb headers.
