Your post above is interesting. As a recovered addict with over 7 years of sobriety I agree with the three steps listed above. What makes it endlessly difficult and frustrating is the lac of tools to carry out the plan. Without recovery tools that work, I believe your chances of lasting recovery are seriously reduced. It would be somewhat akin to trying to build a house with no hammer or saw - good luck!
