by Bill Urell on

Welcome to the September 15, 2007 edition of . This is the first Blog Carnival on that I have hosted. I am really pleased at the diversity and number of submissions I received. These are future friends and fellow bloggers who produce complimentary content to my own.

Be adventurous, visit some new blogs and enjoy.

I was at a professional conference last week and introduced myself to the distinquished looking fellow who would be sitting next to me for 3 days and it turned out to be.. Dr. Neill Neill. He presents  Drug or Alcohol Rehab: Four Relapse Warning Signs posted at Practical Psychology for Capable People, saying, “Men who have gone through an alcohol and drug addiction treatment program are particularly vulnerable to relapse during their first clean year. Dr. Neill’s big four relapse warning signs are discussed. You may be surprised at one or two.” Dr. Neill Neill. has just completed a book Living With A Functioning Alcoholic available on his site.

Nutrition Researcher Joanne Hay Publishes The Nourisher…”Fundamental to our vision for this magazine is our desire to help others live their birthright: a life of abundant health, happiness and connectivity with each other and with all that lives.” This site was so informative, I signed up for the newsletter.

Joanne Hay  presents Sweet Sustenance posted at The Nourisher, saying, “Refined sugar is our first addiction. It is not a food but a drug and it sets off a chain of addictions into adulthood. This article is about how I got off the roller coaster ride of sugar addiction.”

Next is Isabella Mori, a pschotherapist working out of Vancouver CA. Her blog has won and been nominated  for professional awards. Categories covered on her blog are addictions, mental health, emotional health and spirituality, and a lot more. The community she has developed appears active and loyal with astute comments on virtually all her posts.

Isabella Mori presents living with compulsions, living with the devil posted at change therapy, saying, “what the author says about compulsions applies equally to addictions: “compulsions are compared to “bands of thieves” who lie in wait for an opportunity to invade us and “steal the treasures” of our minds. as soon as there is a lapse in self-awareness, a compulsive thought or image is liable to erupt, triggering a torrent of longing or despair that leaves us rattled and bewildered.”

Therapy Doc is yet another professional squeezing time out of his social work practice to operate an informative blog on addictions, relationships, emotional stability and staying in recovery. He states “If you’re in a warm, sunny climate, I’d consider guest lecturing at your institution, topic your choice.” I know the feeling, I had a job offer in northern Minnesota and one in West Palm Beach, Fl…Greetings from sunny West Palm Beach.

TherapyDoc presents My Two Scents posted at Everyone Needs Therapy, saying, “I smell a . . .

Charles H. Green presents When Business is Incontinent posted at Trust Matters, saying, “Why is that when you know the right thing to do, can do the right thing, want to do the right thing… you so often don’t do the right thing?”

Stanimir Sotirov presents Addiction:Stop Smoking posted at All About Your Body And Spirit, saying, “The effects of smoking on your health, the effects on the people around you`s health and 10 tips in that will help you in the beginning”

Relapse warning signs are common in those people who are addicted in alcohol and even drugs. However, only few people understand that. Even alcoholics themselves who quit from their addiction after a year or so does not even know that they have it. Thus, they cannot even prepare themselves to take the right actions. At least now, I have enough resources to get information on drug addiction and sorts.
