The title is ‘Somewhere In The City’, about a homeless man trying to stay off drugs and reintegrate himself into society. It is very well shot and I’m sure you will enjoy it!
That was a darn good video for only being 12 minutes long.
Really, the movie says as much about the guy who is trying to save others as it says about the homeless guy. Sort of a “pay it forward” kind of idea.
But there are limits too, and the movie speaks to that as well. We can’t save everyone. I have a friend in recovery who has burned out trying to save everyone.
HI,
Addiction Recovery is really very difficult and i think it depends on the person’s will power because as if or she will think about the addiction its not very difficult to recover it. It was so sad because video was not working properly. Anyways keep continue.

Society reveals an ugly side when it comes to homelessness and perceived addiction, the immediate assumption is that the homeless person is homeless stemming from the abuse of alcohol or drugs, the person that is always at the bus stop with a shopping cart full of plastic recycles is “hooked” on something.
I don’t think there is a direct relation between Video Games and Relationships. Although, time away from friends and families and significant other because of video games is a factor of bad relationships.
Addiction in life is always dangerous. although it totally depends on the persons thoughts, some think that they can leave the drugs any time but when it comes to dump the things they are not able to do so.
So one must leave the addiction immediately to such addictions.

I have been clean from my addiction for over 2 years. It was definitely a hard journey, but I made it!

the movie says as much about the guy who is trying to save others as it says about the homeless guy.we learn a nice lesson from this movie do best for other .
I was in a relationship with someone who admitted he was an alcoholic. What was sad about this relationship was that his alcoholic friend, who enabled his drinking to increase to the point where he realized he was an alcoholic also, was more influential on him then I, the women he was in love with and asked him to marry him. I did everything I could to support him with his wish of wanting to cut back and it was a struggle every time and caused an argument. So I stopped “supporting” him cause it would just drain my energy every time. It became clear to me that he was not ready to make a change and he did not want my support . He still, to this day drinks and continues to hang around people that enable this. The interesting thing about this person is that they use to at one time be a non drinker and supported non drinkers. I think the people who we choose as our friends have a lot to do with the addiction we take on. Not to say they are to blame. We have to take responsibility for our selves. If one wants to change, they have to be willing to also change their surroundings and get friends who will support them in their journey to change for what is best for them. Choose friends who bring out the best in you. Love and approve of your self and know you deserve the best life can offer. It takes energy and will power and a strong sense of self to break a habit/addiction. This relationship I was in was a bad relationship and I was addicted and I ended it cause it wasn’t serving me and who I was and what I valued. The signs were there in the very beginning that the relationship was unhealthy and yet I let it go on thinking things would improve and change. My relationship with my self improved and changed. I learned so much about myself. If you want people to believe in you and support you, you have to know you can support and believe in yourself first.
The video is no longer available but I would like to see it.
One of the main ways to break a habit/addiction is to remove yourself from your current surroundings. If this guy is doing this on his won he must be very strong indeed.

Your blog is very nice. I’m really impressed and waiting for your next article. I hope I will get it this week. Really value this post in particular. It’s not easy to sort the very good from the not good these days, but I think you’ve nailed it! Is it possible to write a guest posts? I would love to post a one or two articles here.
It’s all about self-motivation. People know they can do whatever they want yet they still abuse it. It really is heart-warming when you see them trying and knowing it’s very hard for them, they still try.
Oh my God, I can’t tell how inspiring this video is. This video is surely the best thing our youth need these days. Addiction recovery is all about self control and will power. Once you’ve made your mind and are determined to get rid of drugs, there is nothing that can stop you from achieving your goal. Our youth is getting so much involved in drugs and all and these type of videos are needed badly. This 12 minutes video is just a beginning towards a good world free of drugs.
Addiction is a huge problem in today’s fast paced life and very easy to fall into. Many people are still heavily influenced by peer pressure and the digital world we now live in means people spend less time out in the fresh air. This video is a great help to those committed to getting clean.

The first step to get over an addiction is to acknowledge that you have a problem. If you do, then you’re on a good start. Getting over an addiction requires a lot of perseverance.
Perseverance is right.. key. I know I don’t have any major addiction and some of you may find this funny. I’m addicted to coke… the soda drink. Can’t quit. Eating my stomach alive. Has the PH of 3 but still drink it. Lately though, I’ve been able to cut down. It takes a TON of will power and perseverance .

The battle against addiction will be won if the person himself is ready to fight for it. There should be a support from the family because they will get strength from their family to win the battle over it.

Family and friends feel the effects of drug addiction as well. The user who are preoccupied with the drug usually have changeable mood, which is likely to cause marital problems and poor work performance or dismissal. Drug addiction can disrupt family life and create destructive patterns of codependency.

Addiction Recovery Video

I think this addiction recovery video is really well done. I am trying to learn to make videos and wish I could make one as nice as this. Warning there are images of drugs and alcohol in the video, love the music.
My First Day
Video about addiction I made for someone extremely important to me who is in recovery. This video marks her 16 month anniversary for sobriety. This song is so perfect because everyday in recovery is hard….but no day is as hard as the first. One day at a time….*I love you*
Nice video here, thanks for posting it. I hadn’t heard this song before, pretty interesting idea, and probably a risk for an artist who sells their music to younger people.
Kudos to the artist for having the guts to write and perform a song like this….might be one of the only ways to really connect with youth on a topic like this in a meaningful way. I wonder if any kids will listen and benefit from the message in this song?
Man that was empowering… I have been clean 7 months – and I almost cried when saw this… I am sharing it with anyone I know who I think needs it, and trust – I know more than a few.
i think if anyone is addicted to something then its very difficult to leave that thing and if here anyone gets some useful tips related to addiction then nothing is better than this. keep posting
Hey Bill, I’ve only just stumbled upon your website and just wanted to comment that I like the way you’ve integrated video into the page. I much prefer to watch video than read an article.
The only way to get out of addiction is self motivation and support by the loved ones . Your idea of presenting this blog makes it interesting and really motivating.
Great video, I agree with you and specially with forex robot: one of the best things when you want to get out of addiction is the support by the loved ones. And overall, self motvation. This were the keypoints that helped me overcome my addiction to games.
Yep, I’ve been totally addicted to a game, the first days I wanted to get out of it, were very tough days, I was actually really addicted to it, I couldn’t think in another thing. This game was like my second life (my second, and best life), but then I’ve realized (with the help of my family) that my life was going nowhere with that game. I used to spend the whole day playing it, and I’ve now overcome it.

Addiction Recovery Video

Here is another great addiction recovery video from my good friend Doug over at sobriety.tv. If you have not visited Doug’s site he has, hands down, the best addiction recovery videos on the web. Enjoy!
Nice post, getting rid of addiction is a hard thing to do, but the main thing is not to give, cauze if you do..its game over…ive got many friends who were addicted.
Addiction is always an ugly head that exists in everyone. It can show itself in the most seemingly harmless way of needing a fizzy drink in the evening but if your susceptible at this level, then things like smoking, alcohol, drugs generally speaking should be out of bounds as these are still some of the most addictive things still in circulation today.
Willpower is the key to conquering addiction. The want and the need to restrain yourself.
Great post and great video. Thanks for sharing and reminding us of the importance of fighting addiction.
Fighting addiction is always one of the hardest things to do. Willpower is the main ingredient to success with this. Once you lose your willpower to fight the addiction you will find all your future efforts are in vain.
I had a friend who had an experience with this. He said that he really thought he will not over pass with this kind of situation but he think of his family and his self and he always pray to God until he passed this trials. Now he was working with a prestigious company and got a big salary every month.
Self control is hard for some people though. Some people can handle things responsibility others need all or nothing. Its a shame how many people are effected by addiction problems.
Unfortunately, I have good friends who have suffered with addiction for years. It’s been proven empirically that genetics contribute to alcoholic behavior. Thankfully, one friend was able to recognize that he has a serious problem that is jeopardizing his future. He decided to take the appropriate steps and distance himself from tempting situations.
If you want to successfully get out of this type of problem, it is very important that you accept that you have a problem and that you are willing to seek the help of other people in order to get out of it.
it is very difficult to over come an addiction, i had an uncle who was a heroin addiction which lead to him dying and i would just like to stress how serious it can be it left my two younger cousins with no father if you or anyone you no has a problem i would seek help straight away before it’s to late.
Really nice video, for only 12 mins long it had a great message.
Addictions take so many different forms, rather than just to substances. Addiction to work, addiction to money, though obviously some addictions are more deadly than others.
Nice video on this blog and every person should watching these videos these videos are enjoy full and useful for addicted people. You are spreading great information through videos.
People talk about drug addiction, but they rarely include alcohol or nicotine in the discussion.
The legal highs are the most dangerous ones, it’s only money, corruptions, and scare-mongering that decides the way addictive chemicals are classified.
