Another professional grade addiction recovery video from my friend Doug Cuddihy over at Sobriety.tv
The title is ‘Somewhere In The City’, about a homeless man trying to stay off drugs and reintegrate himself into society. It is very well shot and I’m sure you will enjoy it!

That was a darn good video for only being 12 minutes long.
Really, the movie says as much about the guy who is trying to save others as it says about the homeless guy. Sort of a “pay it forward” kind of idea.
But there are limits too, and the movie speaks to that as well. We can’t save everyone. I have a friend in recovery who has burned out trying to save everyone.

HI,
Addiction Recovery is really very difficult and i think it depends on the person’s will power because as if or she will think about the addiction its not very difficult to recover it. It was so sad because video was not working properly. Anyways keep continue.

Society reveals an ugly side when it comes to homelessness and perceived addiction, the immediate assumption is that the homeless person is homeless stemming from the abuse of alcohol or drugs, the person that is always at the bus stop with a shopping cart full of plastic recycles is “hooked” on something.
I don’t think there is a direct relation between Video Games and Relationships. Although, time away from friends and families and significant other because of video games is a factor of bad relationships.
Addiction in life is always dangerous. although it totally depends on the persons thoughts, some think that they can leave the drugs any time but when it comes to dump the things they are not able to do so.
So one must leave the addiction immediately to such addictions.

the movie says as much about the guy who is trying to save others as it says about the homeless guy.we learn a nice lesson from this movie do best for other .

if you have problems with any kind of addiction – deal yourself.
I was in a relationship with someone who admitted he was an alcoholic. What was sad about this relationship was that his alcoholic friend, who enabled his drinking to increase to the point where he realized he was an alcoholic also, was more influential on him then I, the women he was in love with and asked him to marry him. I did everything I could to support him with his wish of wanting to cut back and it was a struggle every time and caused an argument. So I stopped “supporting” him cause it would just drain my energy every time. It became clear to me that he was not ready to make a change and he did not want my support . He still, to this day drinks and continues to hang around people that enable this. The interesting thing about this person is that they use to at one time be a non drinker and supported non drinkers. I think the people who we choose as our friends have a lot to do with the addiction we take on. Not to say they are to blame. We have to take responsibility for our selves. If one wants to change, they have to be willing to also change their surroundings and get friends who will support them in their journey to change for what is best for them. Choose friends who bring out the best in you. Love and approve of your self and know you deserve the best life can offer. It takes energy and will power and a strong sense of self to break a habit/addiction. This relationship I was in was a bad relationship and I was addicted and I ended it cause it wasn’t serving me and who I was and what I valued. The signs were there in the very beginning that the relationship was unhealthy and yet I let it go on thinking things would improve and change. My relationship with my self improved and changed. I learned so much about myself. If you want people to believe in you and support you, you have to know you can support and believe in yourself first.
Creative resource. Has in addition learnt a lot of the creative. Successes in work I Can tell with confidence that the blog will be will replenish
The video is no longer available but I would like to see it.
One of the main ways to break a habit/addiction is to remove yourself from your current surroundings. If this guy is doing this on his won he must be very strong indeed.

Your blog is very nice. I’m really impressed and waiting for your next article. I hope I will get it this week. Really value this post in particular. It’s not easy to sort the very good from the not good these days, but I think you’ve nailed it! Is it possible to write a guest posts? I would love to post a one or two articles here.
It’s all about self-motivation. People know they can do whatever they want yet they still abuse it. It really is heart-warming when you see them trying and knowing it’s very hard for them, they still try.
Oh my God, I can’t tell how inspiring this video is. This video is surely the best thing our youth need these days. Addiction recovery is all about self control and will power. Once you’ve made your mind and are determined to get rid of drugs, there is nothing that can stop you from achieving your goal. Our youth is getting so much involved in drugs and all and these type of videos are needed badly. This 12 minutes video is just a beginning towards a good world free of drugs.
Addiction is a huge problem in today’s fast paced life and very easy to fall into. Many people are still heavily influenced by peer pressure and the digital world we now live in means people spend less time out in the fresh air. This video is a great help to those committed to getting clean.

nice movie , we must do best for others !
The first step to get over an addiction is to acknowledge that you have a problem. If you do, then you’re on a good start. Getting over an addiction requires a lot of perseverance.
Perseverance is right.. key. I know I don’t have any major addiction and some of you may find this funny. I’m addicted to coke… the soda drink. Can’t quit. Eating my stomach alive. Has the PH of 3 but still drink it. Lately though, I’ve been able to cut down. It takes a TON of will power and perseverance .
great video, very well done.

The battle against addiction will be won if the person himself is ready to fight for it. There should be a support from the family because they will get strength from their family to win the battle over it.
I don’t understand what has happened. I found your post and for some reason it says this video is no longer available from this site. After reading some of the coments I would really love to see the video. Can someone please tell me where can I now see this video? Thank you very much for your time.

Family and friends feel the effects of drug addiction as well. The user who are preoccupied with the drug usually have changeable mood, which is likely to cause marital problems and poor work performance or dismissal. Drug addiction can disrupt family life and create destructive patterns of codependency.
