Thanks a lot for sharing this article related with alcohol addiction. These days alcohol addiction has become a serious problem for all of us. It not only affects the person who takes alcohol but it also affects the society. So, an alcohol addict should go to the rahab centers for treatment of this.

I don't know that any learned behavior or perceptual state can be "cured" but it can be overcome through introspection and hard work.

Alcohol Addiction is a serious problem. However, alcoholism is not always as easy to notice as is drug addiction. How do we determine who is suffering from Alcohol Addiction and who is not? How do we determine who needs alcohol addiction treatment and who does not? The answer is very easily obtained: remove the alcohol and you’ll soon be able to determine if the person in question is in need of alcohol addiction treatment or not.Like and other Drug Addiction, Alcoholism is a disease that often kills its victims. The end result may be due to liver failure or to an alcohol induced car accident, either way Alcohol Addiction kills people every day. Alcohol addiction ruins the lives of alcoholics and of lives of their families. Because alcohol addiction is considered a disease, alcoholics cannot truly be held responsible for the wreckage they leave at their jobs, in their personal lives and in the lives of those around them. The only way an alcoholic will beat their alcohol addiction is if they understand what alcoholism is and if they learn to embrace alcohol addiction treatment. Only after these steps will an alcoholic be able to begin their addiction recovery process by way of alcohol addiction treatment. I found that Ibogaine is a very good way to for Alcohol Treatment.

I've not had a 'drink' since April 16th/07, just 3 days after losing my beloved husband. And, how did I do it? Well, it was extremely easy. As alcohol destroyed both of our health badly. Therefore, if I want to continue living & taking care of myself, our home, our cats, instead of being in a 'care facility', I easily let it go !!! Just look at the young man struggling with survival, after the car accident with Hulk Hogan's son! Do you want to end up like that? From drinking?
I sure as hell DON'T !!!
I'm afraid what's happened is many of our GOVERNMENT leaders DRINK, and therefore, story's like mine & many others, are basically ignored!
Our beautiful society has absolutely NO idea whatsoever, just how dangerous the stuff is, & if we HAD known, well, things would be so much better, & my husband would still be alive !
Just because it is a legal substance, MEANS NOTHING !!! Other than idiots like me, feel quite confident that there is absolutely no reason NOT to drink....guzzle guzzle guzzle !!!

That explains a lot. Now I understand what people mean when they say they are a 'recovering alcoholic,' and at time it is for up to 20 plus years. I knew that concerning addiction to drugs, you were never 'fully recovered' but merely 'recovering' for the rest of your life. I guess I thought the two were different though.

This places so much of the burden of recovery on the addict that if recovery occurred in a vacuum, no one would ever get well. However, thank goodness for friends, family and support groups like AA. With them, some addicts would never find their way to recovery.

I wonder too about the question for some people who are already living a successful life in recovery: even if the magic pill did come along, allowing you to once again drink like a normal person, would you take it? I'm pretty sure most in recovery are practically offended at the idea, and are happy to have found a program that gives them a new way to live along a spiritual path of growth. In a way, our disease can be a blessing if it leads us to spiritual growth in recovery (that might have been absent if we had led a "normal" life).

What do you think, Bill? Would you take the magic pill if it came along?
