All this time I have blamed my partner of 4 years for holding me back in life and forcing me to put his needs before my own, today I have awoken to the fact that it is I who have willingly allowed his needs to come before my own. When I stop and think about it, not once has he ever forced his ideas upon me. It has always been me who has dismissed my ideas and automatically gone with his, simply because I want to make him happy which in turn makes me happy. However within myself I am not a happy person. My confidence has dropped way down, I am constantly second guessing myself and sometimes even go as far as lie about my life to friends to make myself seem more interesting. Thanks for opening my eyes finally. I know I have alot of work to do but at least my issues have a name now. Ihave a daughter that i am haveing a hard time letting go of, and a finacee i cant seem to let go of. He is an alcholic and sober now. I was going to get back together with him if he stays sober. He is doing very well now. But I am not. He lives away. He is doing well and seems happy while i am constantly worrying about him, and wondering what he is doing. I cant seem to stop obsession about him. It isnt healthy, sometimes I feel he only calls or texts when he has time, while i make time. i think he is healthier in some ways than i am. He did abuse me verbally when drunk. He stayed sober for 8 months but i was so sick of doing everything for everyone here i started to reesent him , although it was nt all his fault. now im te one sitting alone most the time.
