Thanks for this. I'm on the brink of changing my life for the so-much-better!! and keep recognizing self-sabotage and self-defeating behaviour. I need some tools which will help me go beyond the recognition of it and through the transformation of it. Where now do I find the tools?

My friend Tim had a big problem with drug addiction and alcoholism, until he went to A Road to Recovery Rehab.
My son Brad was suffering with drug addiction and alcoholism, so we sent him to A Road to Recovery Rehab.
My mom was suffering with drug addiction and alcoholism and my pastor recommended A Road to Recovery Rehab.

As someone else said above -- it's always the first step that is the hardest. But once you get past that: things become easy.

It's all about the first step.

The 5 common triats are very interesting. It's a shame how living in a unhealthy family environment at a young age can affect the rest of their lives. More needs to be done to educate people on family values.

I'd guess that a good psychotherapist can really help to battle self-sabotage and realted problems. At least I've had a very positive experience with cognitive behavioral therapy that successfully helped me to deal with panic attacks, depression and anxiety.

For most normal folks, drinking means conviviality, companionship and colorful imagination. It means release from care, boredom and worry. It is joyous intimacy with friends and a feeling that life is good. But not so with us in those last days of heavy drinking.

When you are looking to fight your drug addiction, your first step is to admit you have a problem and you need that help to overcome it. It is not an easy task to recover addiction like the way we speak or think about it. The help of a drug rehab centre with well established treatment facilities is important to cure the addiction disorder.
Nice sharing and keep posting more like this.

It is very painful for individuals to take a serious look at what may have caused addictive behaviors in the first place. Thank you for addressing a topic that is so important to personal recovery. Facing the truth about how self-sabotaging behaviors may have taken root and truly understanding the motivating factors that drive addiction can be the key to developing new coping skills and avoiding a constant pattern of relapse.

If there's one thing I've learned it's that you have to have the will to change. Otherwise if you're lying to yourself, in time you'll still go back to what you were trying to get out of in the first place.
