Which one of these movies would be appropriate for teenagers learning about enabling and addiction? It would be nice to have some ratings attached to the movies, so I can take out the R movies. Thank you for the list.

Are you talking movies that are about addiction? I can think of quite a few movies that involve it, but it isn’t the main focus of the film.

Could you please direct me as to where I can locate a copy of the movie I’ll Cry Tomorrow? My father was asking me the other day to find him a copy. I think this would be a great christmas present for him since he is often hard to buy for.

You know, you should watch “You kill Me” you might add it to your list. It is about a hit man that screws up a mob hit, and he is sent to another state to get sober and is forced into AA meetings by his mob uncle. It shows how he is against AA and denies having a problem. AA is in almost every scene and he goes through every stage of accepting his alcoholism. It is on the comedy side, but my clients really liked it, and if they like it they will remember it.

Well I have not seen any of those movies you have enumerated but I have to see two or three I think of those movies. It can be of help for me for I am looking for a good movie for our students to watch as a part of their spiritual learning. Thanks for the information. it would be of help for them to see the disadvantages of alcoholism especially drug addiction.

I have only few out of this list, seriously all of them were awesome. I was moved by Days of Wine and Roses- the plot of the movie is too authentic and gripping you gotta watch it to have the feel of the story.

Awesome movie list. They are great. I have already watched Under The Volcano and it really touched me. It really made me think about the effects of drugs and alcohol.

I’m a huge fan of movies, I’m always spending hours upon hours watching the big (and small) screen. I’ve seen all the movies on your list, and thoroughly enjoyed them. I loved When a Man Loves a Woman the most, but maybe this list will inspire others to go ahead and start watching them.

I’m not such a big movies person, I don’t like going to the movies, I’m not a fan of renting either. I don’t know why, must be the way I was brought up. I will try to rent some of these movies, maybe they’ll light a spark in me, who knows. Thank you for making a list for us.

Great list, thanks a lot for sharing it. I’ve seen most of them, some I thought were inspiring, others I didn’t like that much, but they were all good for my spirit. But you know what’s funny? I never got to see When A Man Loves A Woman. I’m planning on correcting that.
