This an interesting topic. Yes, emotional baggage really does impact our daily lives and therefore we have to learn how to cope and lessen or even rid of it. I had an emotional baggage because I cannot forgive and forget easily that was my baggage. Going to a good place like really helped me by reflecting on my own problem. In the end after I released my problem I felt happy and contented with whatever I had.

We had a very close family friend who struggled with drug addition. Baggage was a big part of the addiction. They did a course called "The Landmark forum" it's not targeted at addicts at all, but teaches you how to deal wit baggage and is a healing empowering course that help get their life back on track and repair important relationships.

Something that can help with forgiveness of an alcoholic is to understand the disease of addiction. When you realize they "weren't themselves" prior to recovery or "aren't themselves" if still drinking because they suffer from the disease of untreated addiction, it can help to let go and forgive because the actions you are forgiving are generally actions they took while under the influence... it's confusing, I know, but it was what really turned things around in my life. This website provides a great deal of helpful information about addiction -- it's produced by HBO in collaboration with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, NIDA and NIAAAA -- http://www.hbo.com/addiction

The worst problems I've had to solve, emotional problems, were those related to forgiveness. I know I haven't been forgiven in my life, and it's hard for me to actually and truly forgive someone else. Hopefully, I might one day be able to put all that behind me.

I've subscribed to the e-guide, this is gold for those who seek release from all that emotional baggage that drags them down a path they'd regret going on. Thank you so much for the great article, you'd be surprised how much good it does in some people's lives.

This is one great blog post! People should start realizing how hard it is to break those addiction chains if you are weighted down by emotional baggage. I've been trying to become more zen, if you'd like, by dealing with all my emotions and feelings lately, and it works great, I recommend it.
