I have created a free online service that I as well as my buddies from treatment use for our daily journaling. We do our nightly reviews on mynightlyreview.com. It is a site I planned in treatment and have been developing the last 9 months. I am really clear today that a websites and shortcuts do not keep me sober but I do also know that technology can empower us all and if some easy of use keep us doing something we might otherwise not I am all for it.

A blatant plug, but hopefully it will be useful to someone... If you want to use your computer for writing their journal/diary, then the 12step.org site is giving away free software for writing a journal. It also has built-in questions relating to working the 12 step program. More info is available at 12ste.org/rj/.

Recovery addicts have it bad. A journal seems like a good positive reinforcement for them. It keeps them in the mind set that its just one day at a time.

Very nice article... a friend of mine recently started a journal. She keeps it right on the kitchen table so she never forgets to write in it. Luckily she also has alot of support to help her through these rough times... thanks for sharing this!
