This includes nightmares, having flashbacks an memories intruding into your consciousness. You may have exaggerated emotional and physical reactions to triggers and events that remind the person of the trauma.
2. Hyper Arousal.
This may include hyper-vigilance – always being on guard, sleep and concentration difficulties and an exaggerated startle reflex.
3. Emotional Numbness

Well all the reasons stated here are very true. One will face all the difficulties. Hyper arousal is a major factor which will lead to many problems. One must not feel guilt or bad to recover from any addiction. One should have the mental peace to sustain all these striving conditions. Mental stability and health is the key to win all these situations.
I’ve noticed that because of things that happened in my childhood that I can, at times, be numb emotionally. My wife is so supportive of me and I consider myself lucky and fortunate that we have been married for more than 20 years. Through her support, I have been able to work out many of the issues that once held me back.
