Hi Bill, this is timely article. I found this very realistic advice for the recovery of addiction. A person who value himself can’t dare to ruin it. I suppose people have lost the sense of God in their lives.

Interesting article Bill. Self love is probably the only factor for recovery of Addiction since i many people HATE themself for addiction they have and that can adversely effect their mentality and overall attitude about their addiction. Some sort of self hypnotism is required to develop Self love i suppose.

The ten statements are very true; love yourself before loving other person. How can you love another person if you don’t know how to love your own self? We should be with the people who are positive with life. Those people who treat you right and not those people who will take advantage of your weakness.

Loving yourself is the best way to come out of any depression and make the life more beautiful. One should not loose interest in himself and should have self confidence. I think the best way to love yourself is to note the things people like about you. You should love yourself like a freind and should praise the positive things in you.

There are enough people who are willing to beat up on you for your mistakes, so why take their side. It’s hard to love and forgive yourself for mistakes, but it’s really part of the healing process. The sooner you can love yourself and forgive yourself, the faster you’ll begin to heal and recover. Negativity will only bring you down. Be kind to yourself.
