War is a stressful situation and it is only natural that some veterans can’t overcome it completely, even if years have passed since the end of their service. Veterans should be able to get all the help they need to return to their normal lives smoothly and maintain a healthy and balanced lifestyle, where drugs obviously have no place. After everything they did to serve their country, they deserve to be well received and supported.

Its always difficult coping with the likes of PTSD. Some people never fully recover and as such don’t end up being able to work again!

I’m afraid I don’t know anyone that suffers from PTSD, but this initiative is a laudable one, I can’t deny it. I’ll post it on my blog, see if anyone else might use the information.

Hmm, this sounds rather interesting. I have a couple of friends who will be more than interested in participating at this support group, as they’re suffering from PTSD and aren’t really coping with it as they should.

There’s no doubt that veterans, especially if they suffer from PTSD, often feel alienated when they return home. A support group dedicated to those who have turned to drugs is a wonderful resource. Thanks for sharing this Bill.
